>> Actividades BRILEG HQ IMPROVE THEIR PLANNING CAPABILITIES 38 EX. “ROAD TO REDEO”: 04JUN TO 08JUN. Several Units of the BRILEG participated in the CPX; so all the branches included in a brigade CP were present along with usual staff branches. Training the brigade 's HQ as a subordinate to a divisional HQ was the main objective for this CPX. To do so all the exercise was conducted in the English language. However some other objectives were achieved in this CPX: planning capabilities were improved and a new planning handbook was tested in the Comandante D. Jose Luis López-Rubio Asensio exercise. As a consequence some minor changes will be made to this book, which is supposed to become the standard planning procedure for the Brigade. The Exercise’s name has its own explication. In November FUL HQ, which is our highest level HQ, will face a“REDEO” Exercise in which our Divisional HQ is to achieve their IOC. Our own HQ will take part in this Ex. like a brigade HQ. After Ex “ROAD TO REDEO” we should be in better conditions to “help” FUL HQ in their IOC’s achievement. CP: Command Post. CPX: Command Post Exercise. It’s a kind of Exercise in which training audiences (TA) are HQ and PC ( from Coy level up to Division or higher); so no units are deployed other than HQ and signals if needed. IOC: Initial Operational Capability. This is a step prior to the FOC (full operational capability); having the FOC means any unit in having a mission is able to conduct it. BRILEG
