The Strategic Paper the reader has in her hands aims to offer a panoramic vision focused on the future of the Spanish defence industry as a source of wealth, technology and security.
Efforts have been made to integrate the views of the companies integrated in TEDAE, the military strategic vision, the positions of the Ministries of Industry and Defence, the vision of Unions and, finally, the academic vision. This way, a multidisciplinary and comprehensive vision has been collected that fully justifies the title of this Strategic Paper.
The curious reader, after reading these pages, will find that the defence industry effectively provides three major benefits for Spain: wealth, technology and security. Benefits that must be set into value and maintain by protecting and developing the national defence industry. And, as Cervantes says in Don Quixote, in the mouth of the La Mancha hidalgo «... And then it is plain that whatever costs most is valued and deserves to be valued most», which could be taken up as the final conclusion of this work.
