This (the fifth) edition of “Energy and Geostrategy” includes four articles focused on geographical areas (Russia, Turkey, India, Sahel), written by José Pardo de Santayana with his work "Energy in the Strategy of the Russian Federation", Melike Janine Söknen and Eduard Soler with "Beyond the Pipes: The geopolitics of energy in Turkey and neighbouring countries", Sunjoy Joshi and Lydia Powell with "India: geopolitics of energy", and Beatriz Mesa with "Security, development and energy: the three challenges for the future of the Sahel", and, on the other hand, an article of global scope: "Challenges and opportunities of climate governance. Implementing the Paris Agreement and increasing ambition", by Lara Lázaro. This fifth issue also includes an interview with the high responsible for energy policy in the European Union, Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete. Through all of them, they analyse in depth current issues and raise essential questions about the unstable strategic landscape of the energy world.
