Un clair exemple est l’opération actuelle dans la lutte contre le Daesh, où l’intégration et la synchronisation des capacités liées à l’information sont devenues un des éléments clés de la Coalition pour discréditer le discours de l’état islamique autoproclamé. Les efforts faits dans ce domaine par les forces de la Coalition ont commencé à porter ses fruits avec une diminution considérable de la propagande du Daesh pendant l’année 2015. The growing threat for global security that this country represents is more serious and truer than ever, and it is thus necessary to stop adopting ad hoc tactical responses and move on to elaborate a useful strategy to halt this threat, although not to put an end to it. Kim Jong-un will not dismantle his nuclear bombs, since they are the only thing that can insure the survival of his regime, which is his highest strategic aim. We must be realistic and choose a policy of rapprochement to North Korea similar to the one used with Iran. THE UNCERTAIN AGE OF DEGLOBALIZATION.......... 18 The megatrends, which seemed to rule the historical progression of the humanity almost in a determinist way, are being altered by a set of apparent anomalies which are questioning the postulates of the globalization. The slowing down of the economic growth worldwide, the progress of the protectionism, the alterations induced by technology and the convulsions in the scenario of the international security are some of the issues which announce the age of deglobalization, with its challenges and uncertainties. At the sight of its dynamics, the main trait of deglobalization would be the will of human beings to go back to primary identity paradigms. INFO OPS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST DAESH................ 24 The use of systems and means of communication, as well as the exploitation of their technology are at the fingertips not only of the state actors but also of criminal and terrorist organizations. The use of such means represents an essential tool to have an influence in the behavior and attitude of the different target audiences in current conflicts. A clear example of it is the ongoing operation in the fight against Daesh, where the integration and synchronization of the capabilities related to the information have turned into one of the cornerstones of the Coalition to discredit the narrative of the self-proclaimed Islamic State. The efforts carried out in this field by the Coalition forces have started to bear fruits, achieving a considerable decrease in the propaganda of Daesh since 2015. RYAN, THE BIGGEST INTELLIGENCE OPERATION...... 30 RYAN was the biggest intelligence operation run by the Soviet Union all along its entire history. Active between 1981 and the fall of the Iron Curtain, this mission aimed at detecting, preventing and neutralizing a surprise attack with nuclear missiles. In 1983, coinciding with the allied manoeuvers Able Archer 83, the biggest fears of the Soviets seemed to come true and Moscow got ready to launch a preventive attack. Based on primary sources recently declassified, the article analyzes these events which put the world on the verge of a nuclear holocaust.
