Compuesta por 23 militares y dos perros —uno detectores de drogas y estupefacientes y el otro detector de explosivos—, controlaba uno de los accesos a la base polaca y el interior de entrada al ICE; hacía la escolta y el guiado de convoyes (solo en España); y es la policía de nuestra Fuerza; llegado el caso, también apoyarían a la autoridad militar en caso de faltas. Por otra parte, había un equipo de tres miembros de la Guardia Civil (un teniente, un brigada y un guardia) que realizaban la función de Provost Marshal. Esta consiste en establecer relaciones con la Policía de la nación anfitriona, realizar atestados y diligencias, matrículas diplomáticas... Lt. Gil was the commander of the Military Police Unit, which provided security to the ICE at Swietoszow and was made up of 23 soldiers and two dogs – one to detect drugs and narcotics and the other, for explosives. The Unit controlled one of the points of access to the Polish base and the internal entrance to the ICE; escorted and guided the convoys in Spain; and acted as our Force’s police force. It also provided support to the military authority when minor offences are committed. There was also a three-member team of Civil Guards (a lieutenant, a warrant officer and a private) acting as provost marshals, i.e. establishing a relationship with the police force of the host nation, drafting reports, carrying out inquiries, embossing diplomatic license plates.
