200 CARLOS RILOVA JERICÓ ABSTRACT This work tries to analyze the impact of the historical research done during the bicentenary of the Spanish War of Independence (or Peninsular War) considering series of documents -mainly unpublished- related to Bas-que Country, a key territory to establish the napoleonic dominion on Spain, that show us as an unavoidable task to continue research on that, war which, in fact, lasted from 1808 to 1815, without regard to the organization of cen-tenaries.
