252 bie3 ŽĐƵŵĞŶƚŽ ŶĄůŝƐŝƐ ŽĐƵŵĞŶƚŽĚĞŶĄůŝƐŝƐ ϳϯͬϮϬϭϲ ϭ 73/2016 6 de diciembre 2016 María Luisa Pastor Gómez México: entre el muro de la frontera Norte y la porosidad de la frontera Sur México: entre el muro de la frontera Norte y la porosidad de la frontera Sur Resumen: Por su ubicación geográfica México es país emisor de emigrantes hacia los EE.UU., pero también país de tránsito de flujos migratorios procedentes sobre todo del Triángulo Norte de Centroamérica —Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras—, pudiendo convertirse en país receptor si se recrudece la política inmigratoria de EE.UU., y se cierra la frontera Norte, lo que podría desestabilizar el país azteca. Por ello, el próximo gobierno estadounidense tendrá que contentar por una parte a su electorado pero por otra medir las consecuencias que le podría acarrear la implantación de una fuerte política de aislamiento y deportaciones. Abstract: Due to its geographical location, Mexico is an emigration platform to the US but also a transit country of migratory flows, mainly from the Northern Triangle of Central America Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. The country may switch into a receiving state if the US intensifies its immigration policy and the northern border is closed, a fact that could destabilize Mexico. For this reason, the next US government will have to satisfy its electorate on the one hand, but on the other hand it will has to measure the consequences of a strong deportation policy.
