The Defence industry is a key pillar in the process of meeting the needs of the Armed Forces military equipment. It also plays a key role in strengthening the Spanish industrial sector, generating a sound demand for industrial goods, which results in the growth of our economy as a whole. The Ministry of Defence, and in particular the Defence Secretary of State, is fully devoted to support institutionally the Spanish Defence industry. This is a strategic sector with a strong potential for innovation as well as for developing a highly qualified workforce. We deem this sector to be a key stone of our National Security and Sovereignty.
