Abstract 142 History QVADERNUM HISTORIAE. THE FIRST ARTILLERY FLAGS I. THE ROYAL SPANISH ARTILLERY REGIMENT. While in the previous issue we dealt with the Artillery flags of Godoy, we will now discuss about our first flags, the white Colonel and the simple blue ones, which have been the hallmarks of Spanish gunners. This first part will study the flags of the Spanish Royal Artillery Regiment in more detail, leaving for subsequent issues the flags which continued as the ones of the Royal Artillery Corps. BICENTENARY OF THE ARRIVAL OF THE ROYAL ARTILLERY SCHOOL TO MONTESIÓN SCHOOL. After the outbreak of the Peninsular War in 1808, and to avoid being reached by the French forces, the Royal Artillery School departed from Segovia and underwent a six-year exodus that had it wandering around different Spanish and Portuguese cities until 1814, when it came back to its cradle. This article depicts the events happened the last two years of this wandering, when it was housed in Montesión School, in the Island of Mallorca.
