42 GUILLERMO CALLEJA LEAL ABSTRACT Tha assistance of Spain to the American Revolution started even before the formal declaration of war of Spain to Great Britain in 1779. Juan de Miralles was a key person in the envoy of military supplies to Washington’s Continental Army at that time, as they were also Luis de Unzaga and Bernardo de Gálvez from the Spanish Louisiana.
