14 JOAQUÍN GIL HONDUVILLA ABSTRACT This paper aims to present the events in the city of Jerez de la Frontera on August 10, 1932, when forces from 28 Tercio Móvil de la Guardia Civil, obeying orders issued since the Segunda División Orgánica, Seville, proceeded to control depose the city and municipal authorities. They were hours of confusion. The paper analyzes both what happened in this city in the days prior to movement, the events of the early morning, when the forces of the Civil Guard took to the streets and confusing morning in which, without shedding any blood, the guards returned to their barracks.
