The desert is a particularly hostile environment to humans and also to physician practicing in such area. It’s known for its extreme weather conditions, its particular field, and its flora and fauna varieties. Difficulties are often encountered during water management and when supporting its various pathologies. This course, highly requested by national and international scientific community, is becoming a real specialized training on the Saharan diseases. It is very enriching for the participants coming to extend their knowledge and share their experien-ces in the field of medical support in extreme conditions. This event earns in interest since numerous humanitarian crises were observed these last few years in Saharan areas. These crises were responsible of refugees’ influx requiring military health service deployments for assistance. For the fifth consecutive year, this course will bring together distinguished national and international speakers from civilian and military partners’ institutions. It is also a pleasant occasion to discover the wonderful natural sites of southern Tunisia. We invite you to take part to this course and we will be very happy to receive you in Tozeur, at the doors of Tunisian desert. Colonel Major (MD) Mondher YEDEAS Surgeon General of Tunisian Armed Forces
