This publication, already in its fourth edition, is carried out by the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies in collaboration with the Spanish Committee of the World Energy Council and Enerclub. It addresses key issues in the global geopolitical energy landscape such as the impact of renewable energy on the readjustment of this geopolitics, energy policy in the U.S. and the Iran-Saudi Arabia rivalry, as well as the energy geopolitics in the Mediterranean and Latin America. Hydrocarbons geopolitics occupies an important place in the thinking of the authors of this document, but it also aims to draw attention to the long-term centrality of the development of demand for decarbonized electric energy as the fundamental vector of Global climate policy.
