When finish the exhibition of the ten chapters, the anonymous author
includes a few recommendations that aim at those who have an army in
charge, such as seek greater harmony among the members, try to first reduce
the enemy without resorting to open combat or not to take recommendations
are added the fight in case of unjust war.
Finally, the manuscript includes as addenda -f.54v and 55r, written
italicized smaller- the speech that Pedro de Álava drafted in French for his
master Prince Don Juan of Austria that he pronounced in the Assembly of
Lords and High Dignitaries of the Netherlands, when he was appointed governor
of the territories by his brother Philip II.
Once expose the contents of the manuscript of the Royal Library in
Madrid, I have proceeded to compare the content with others, printed and
handwritten, in order to review possible similarities and discrepancies contemporary
sources of that nature. And the result has been highly satisfactory.
