CONCLUSIÓN
La técnica de HRM para la detección de portadores de la
mutación para la abiotrofia cerebelosa en caballos Pura Raza
Árabe demuestra ser una herramienta útil, sencilla y económica,
de fácil aplicación en los esquemas de selección de caballos. Dentro
de nuestro ámbito, podría incorporarse a la batería de pruebas
a las que deben someterse los efectivos equinos del Servicio
de Cría Caballar de las Fuerzas Armadas. Además, este estudio
abre el camino para aplicar la técnica de HRM con otro tipo de
enfermedades y caracteres genéticos equinos.
