lum. The confinement has resulted in many
hours devoted to the course, on both sides,
teachers’ and students’… and it has provided
a quite profitable topic to deal with in
our many interviews. It has proven useful
for SLP level 2 candidates to practice narration,
state facts about what is actually happening,
explain your daily routine during
the lockdown, give instructions on how to
prevent infection or describe the symptoms
people present once they have been infected,
whereas level 3 students can practice
hypothesis (what would have happened if
measures had been taken earlier, how do
you think this crisis is going to change the
way we see the world, how will economy recover
from a hit like this),…or abstract topics
(what is your concept of solidarity?, why do
you think a modern society in the XXI Century
has been affected to this extent?, were
we overconfident about our own capacity
to overcome a crisis like this?), or support
opinion (what is your opinion about the
measures taken in the whole world?, what
do you think about the “herd immunity”
policy followed in some countries?, etc.)
Interesting training topics, yet also food
for thought.
