ABSTRACT
In this work we will mainly analyses the creation, as well as its development,
of several distinctions created for nurses and nursing auxiliaries in
the Franquist Army during the Spanish Civil War (in the Republican side we
have not found any reference to the creation of any specific distinction for
nurses). Likewise, we will explain the genesis of those in force before the
war for the Red Cross nurses, those created during the war, those that arose
at the end of the conflict from several hospitals or localities where a military
hospital was located, and those created in the immediate postwar period,
when the figure of the nurse became official within the Spanish Military
Health. We will focus especially on one of the most unknown, but no less
granted, as was the badge for Ladies nurses of the Moroccan Military Hospitals.
These hospitals were managed by the administration of the Spanish
Protectorate in Morocco and their organizational context will be analyzed.
In addition of the history of the creation of this distinctive, its study, its development,
its concession and the sample of unpublished graphic material
related to it.
